Filmed somewhere in South America in 1966, and poorly translated and dubbed by Germans, this unintentionally funny James Bond meets Barbarella love child plumbs the seedy depths of the international fashion model/psycho-killer underworld with a boldness that only a gun to the head can provide.

Colangelo Automotive Repair and Classics, in Garden Grove, CA, is a two-man, blue collar shop, dealing with the day-to-day realities of wrenching on hot rods and making a business work in tough economic times.
Owner, Ric Colangelo, dreams of helping his family, his friends, and making his shop successful at any cost. All the while, there’s the goal of getting back in the driver’s seat, restoring his race team and burning up the drag strips once again.
Mechanic and former millionaire, Shawn Hauser, welds and wrenches his way through the daily grind of the business. A self-made millionaire on two separate occasions, Shawn has twice lived high and twice lost hard, only to rise up again. For Shawn it’s family first, the business of cars second, and underneath, well, Shawn’s always got something in the works.
And, most importantly; it’s all real.

“This is going to be the best day of your life!” Donald (Barry Primus) promises Sam (Charlie Robinson). This seems unlikely, given that both are homeless men mired in the bleak landscape of Los Angeles’ Skid Row. Moreover, the source of Donald’s optimism is a mere $20 bill (a Jackson) which he skillfully bummed off a passing businessman (Steve Guttenberg). But Donald, a modern day Don Quixote, vows that with it they can go anywhere and do anything. He drags the reluctant Sam off in search of great adventure.

The Empty is a film about two men, once great friends, who have the ability to use the full capacity of their brains. They have enormous capability to think, solve problems, manipulate and even explore the minds of others. But one ability intrigues them more than the rest, to achieve true outer body experience and even take over another body. Their abilities have lead them down very different paths.
At the start of the film, Derek, who realizes the danger of their abilities, is now living a dark life alone, trying to think as little as possible in order to keep the dangers away from the rest of the world. Aaron on the other hand has become a tortured soul. Nothing was ever enough for him and he has become a criminal sociopath with few morals aside from gaining his own satisfaction. His obsession with achieving outer body experience has taken over.
They do not talk or see each other anymore. When Derek’s former love reenters his life and Aaron’s actions become worse and more extreme, he must draw the line and do whatever is necessary stop Aaron. All this sets the scene for an intense and brutal psychological thriller full of philosophical dilemmas, suspense, drama and even romance.
